MY DESIRED GOALS IF ELECTED:

Insist in Transparency of all aspects of board actions, expenditures and adherence to Condo By-Laws and State Statues.

To take Action to ensure that current and future financial expenditures, assessments are sound and vetted before signing contractual agreements, and meet member majority vote, if required.

Develop “The Voice” platform where owners, residents may have their voices heard without concern of reciprocity.

Seek to inspire a new sense of Community thru social, edutainment and cultural venues.

Look to bring a top Professional Advisory Board to advise the Board of Directors on sound legal, engineering and financial advice to avoid potential legal, engineering, hiring of management, security, sundry property services contractual and financial missteps and reduce budget deficiencies.

Rebuild confidence that the Board is the collective voice of the owners and not just the voice of 5 and special interests.

Develop a progressive Improvement & Maintenance Plan for overall property amenities, public rooms, landscaping, security, lighting, elevators, seawall, docks, gym/spa, pool areas, parking/roadways and over all property components including better Handicap Access, Shopping Carts and Bicycles storage.
MY PERSONAL REASONS: My mother, Alice Cosner was one of the first residents at Porta Bella. Through the decades I have witnessed the many transitions, changes including the current declining property values and spiraling assessments at Porta Bella Now I am living full time caring for my mother for the past year. Porta Bella is Home and has been Home to my parents for over 40 years.
HOW I MAY CONTRIBUTE: I hope to contribute my business acumen and my first-hand 9-year tenure experience as Secretary, VP. and President of the 12 story, self-managed Ocean Dunes Condo in Highland Beach. During my tenure as President of the board, I successfully managed a $8.4M renovation (10 years ago) that included a comprehensive building renovation that encompassed concrete restoration of all balconies, (144), elevator renovation, lowering and replacement of windows and sliders, roof replacement, complete lobby redecoration and other material improvements. All of this was completed on time and on budget.
EXPERIENCE: My background is diverse from living abroad to extensive corporate experience: Publisher for Gannett Newspapers, Director of Retail Product Development for Newspapers Association of America (2400 Newspapers - NYC), Founder & President, Mallworks International, Inc. to Sr. Executive VP for a Real Estate Development company (14 years). In this role, I lead the planning, and economic development for a proposed Florida 64 sq. mile Eco Sustainable City named by the Clinton Climate Initiative as one of the 16 Climate Positive Developments in the world. I have deep interest in environmental solutions; I am President of Ecovation Global Holdings, Inc. that focuses on climate positive solutions, and pollution remediation for municipalities. I reside on several Board of Directors /Advisory including The Global Center for Preparedness & Resiliency, Skytrain, Global Aquatic Biosystems and Accel IP Law.
My sense of caring in building community and a better society has also been an important part of my being; I was Executive Director of a non-profit to bring awareness and funding to provide nutritious food to the homeless and underserved children in Palm Beach County. My fund raising for dozens of non-profits in Palm Beach County resulted in my Nomination by Wachovia Bank for Woman of the Year. and Volunteer of the Year.
PERSONAL: Originally from Philadelphia lived in Madrid, Guatemala, Rio de Janeiro (Total 13 years) and prior to moving to Florida in 1993, I lived in Fairfield County, Ct for 17 years. Am divorced, with two adult children and 3 grandchildren. Rosemont College, BA. Conversant in Spanish & Portuguese.
